AMI has been building orbital welding equipment since 1976, when engineers off NASA’s Apollo program went looking for a way to make the same weld twice. Fifty years later that iron is welding high purity stainless steel in semiconductor plants and process piping across the country — and a lot of it is old enough to vote.
We repair it, rebuild it and calibrate it — in our shop or on your floor.

Weld heads
The 9-500 and the 8 Series are the two we see most — small tube, tight clearance, high purity. Every head here is rebuildable, and most of them are cheaper to rebuild than to replace.
What comes across our bench
Rotors and drive gears, motors and encoders, cable bundles that have been dragged one job too many, coolant leaks, worn clamp inserts, heads that will not home. Heads take the beating — and they rebuild.

Repair & rebuild
Power supplies and weld heads. Boards, drives, rotors, bearings, cables, coolant systems. If it can be rebuilt, we rebuild it.
On-site calibration
We fly to you, anywhere in North America. Your machine never leaves the floor and your schedule stays intact.
Parts & consumables
Tungsten precision ground to your specification, collets, clamp inserts, coolant, purge monitors and plugs.
Training & qualification
Operator training on your own equipment, and welder qualification through our CWI testing lab partner.
