Tri Tool Pipe & Tube Weld Prep Equipment

Tri Tool

The weld starts
with the prep.

Tri Tool builds portable machine tools that cut, face, square and bevel pipe and tube to a machined finish — no torch, no heat affected zone, no grinding to fix it afterward. Square ends and consistent land is what makes an orbital weld repeatable. This is the front half of that job.

We carry it, we support it, and we service and calibrate it — in our shop or on your floor.

300 Series — tube facing and squaring

The high purity workhorses. OD saddle mount, cordless in most cases, and they leave an end square enough to drop straight into a closed weld head. Chips are directed away from the ID, which is the whole point on pharma, semiconductor and food-grade tube. The STS-4 and STS-8 have replaced the old 304 and 306.

200 Series — end prep and beveling

600 Series — clamshell split-frame lathes

When the pipe is already in the rack, the machine has to open around it. Split-frame clamshells sever and bevel in-line pipe in a single setup, with low profile bodies for tight rack spacing and heavy wall capacity on the RBL-G2 frames.

Tri Tool DuraBit tool bits

DuraBits and tooling

Coated tool bits that face and square high purity tube ends and hold an edge far longer than uncoated bits — and they throw the chip away from the ID instead of into it. DuraBit 1, 2 and 3 run on the 300 and 500 Series squaring modules, including short and extreme short perch setups; DuraBit 4, 5 and 6 are for the 208B and 214B.

We stock bits, blades, collets and clamping tooling, plus tungsten precision ground to your specification for the welding side of the job.
